Neurodivergent Adults Social Group Relaunch – Call for Activity Providers
We’re really pleased to be relaunching our Neurodivergent Adults Social Group this spring, following a hugely positive planning meeting with local neurodivergent adults.
The group has been shaped directly by the people who want to attend it. Those who joined us for the initial consultation shared thoughtful, honest feedback about what would make the group feel welcoming, inclusive and genuinely enjoyable – and that insight has been invaluable in helping us get this right from the start.
What the group will look like
The group will run fortnightly on Thursdays at 1.30pm, based at the Recreation Community Hub in Bridgwater, which was chosen for its privacy, accessibility, parking and well-equipped kitchen. We’re grateful to be working in partnership with the Town Council, who are supporting the project.
Sessions will be relaxed, friendly and activity-led, with a strong emphasis on choice, comfort and connection. Activities discussed so far include things like quizzes, board games, creative workshops, indoor gardening, pottery, candle making and cake decorating – but we’re keen to keep the programme varied and shaped by the interests of the group.
The relaunch is funded by the Abri Community Fund, allowing us to offer a high-quality programme and bring in skilled facilitators to lead sessions.
We’re looking for activity providers
As part of this relaunch, we’re inviting activity providers, facilitators and creatives to express an interest in delivering sessions as part of the programme.
We’re particularly keen to hear from people who:
Have experience working with neurodivergent adults (formal or lived experience)
Offer inclusive, low-pressure activities
Can adapt sessions to suit different energy levels, communication styles and sensory needs
Are friendly, patient and happy to work alongside a community-led approach
Sessions are paid, and we’re looking to build a small pool of providers who could deliver one-off workshops or a short series across the year.
Get involved
If you’re interested in delivering an activity — or know someone who might be a good fit — we’d love to hear from you.
The form is an expression of interest only and helps us understand what activities you offer, your experience, availability and any access requirements you might have.
We’re really excited about what this group can become and are committed to making it a welcoming, meaningful space for neurodivergent adults in Bridgwater.
