Connect: Neurodivergent Adults Group Relaunches in Bridgwater
Sedgemoor Community Connector CIC is pleased to announce the relaunch of Connect: Neurodivergent Adults, a dedicated group for autistic and neurodivergent adults in Bridgwater.
The group will begin on Thursday 26th February, running from 1.30pm to 3.15pm at the Recreation Community Hub ,Rhode Lane, Hamp. Sessions will take place fortnightly on Thursdays.
CONNECT provides a relaxed, structured and welcoming space for adults aged 18+ who identify as autistic or neurodivergent, whether formally diagnosed or self-diagnosed. The aim is to offer a calm and inclusive environment where people can take part in activities, share interests, or simply spend time in a comfortable community setting.
There is no pressure to participate beyond individual comfort levels. Attendees are free to engage at their own pace.
The first session will be Board Games Week, with a selection of games available. Participants are also welcome to bring along a favourite game to share if they wish.
CONNECT is a group setting and one-to-one support is not available. However, attendees are very welcome to bring a support worker, friend or family member if that would help them feel more comfortable.
The programme has been made possible thanks to funding from the Abri Community Fund, whose support enables inclusive community provision in Bridgwater.
Over the coming months, sessions will include a mix of creative activities, guest facilitators, practical workshops and opportunities for connection in a safe and supportive environment.

Sedgemoor Community Connector CIC also welcomes expressions of interest from individuals who may wish to share a hobby, skill or activity with the group in future sessions.
