Community Hub Project Update – Angel Place, Bridgwater
We are pleased to share an update on the development of our new Community Hub in Bridgwater.
Sedgemoor Community Connector CIC is currently in the final legal stages of securing a town centre space in Angel Place. Searches are underway and discussions are progressing, with the project moving forward steadily.
The aim of the Community Hub is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where local residents can connect, access support, and take part in community-led activities. The space will include a small café, community seating, and opportunities for informal support and engagement.
This project builds on our existing work across Bridgwater, where we have supported hundreds of residents through initiatives focused on wellbeing, connection, and practical support.
As we move closer to securing the premises, our focus is beginning to shift towards operational planning. This includes developing a food-compliant kitchen, establishing a volunteer structure, and ensuring that all services delivered from the space are safe, accessible, and responsive to local needs.
We are also beginning to explore opportunities for partnership and support, including funding, sponsorship, and in-kind contributions such as materials, equipment, or expertise.
Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
